Duke Street No. 2

$15.00

This house is on a hill that overlooks Duke Street and Chester’s Front Harbour. I was attracted to this house by the oversized wrap around porch columns.

I should have titled this drawing “The Duchess of Duke Street” after one of my favorite BBC dramas by the same name.

It aired for two season in 1976 and 1977 and was the story of Louisa Trotter who worked her way up from being a kitchen skivvy to the Queen of cooks in

Edwardian London and owner of the Bentinck Hotel.
